COVERING THE EDINBURGH FESTIVAL SINCE 1996
Zoe Brownstone: A Bite Of Yours (Impatient Productions)
Oh love, why is it so difficult to find? Zoe Brownstone’s stand up hour delivers non-stop humour performed effortlessly: this show just powered on with no hesitations or hiccoughs. It’s a routine that is bold, and rich with heavy topics that provoked a bit of tension, but ultimately it’s all relieved with laughter. The show is centred mostly around Brownstone’s love life and the love of rom-coms; there is lots of clever word play and raunchy jokes, and as humour filled the room, the audience interaction held everyone’s attention. Overall, it’s a tightly written routine with flawless callbacks and a wide range of gags, all of which demonstrates that this is someone who is surely about to break out in the comedy world. All nicely rounded off with a happy ending… what’s not to like
Pleasance Courtyard, until 23 Aug.
