Speechless – what an incredibly important piece of theatre. Focused on the publication in the US of ‘The Female Eunuch’, the show explores Germaine Greer’s views on women, in particular her truly bold views on transgender women, and it’s showcased in the most creative way. It’s an incredibly experimental, flashy performance that makes brave moves that really work: from the stage design and lighting to the outfits and choreography, everything feels well thought out and creates spectacular, poignant moments. The tightly packed script left me more informed, but also inspired me to look into it more afterwards.  Both Laurie Ward and Charli Cowgill have a commanding presence and are undeniably talented. A show that’s guaranteed to stick with you for a long time.
