Topical Storm 2017 (The Stand Comedy Club)
By Lewis Frain | Published on Tuesday 22 August 2017
The Stand’s resident satire team are back at the Fringe to satirise some of the biggest issues in politics and current affairs. The panel consists of Mark Nelson, Stuart Murphy, Keir McAllister and Vladimir McTavish – all notable performers in the Scottish comedy scene – and the format essentially fits the mould of a ‘Mock the Week’ style panel show. The topics covered may be well-trodden ground – Brexit, Trump, fields of wheat etc – but each member of the panel offers something different and their interactions work brilliantly. If you’re in the mood for a great laugh at the state of the world, and can bear to hear the word ‘Brexit’ ever again, then look no further than ‘Topical Storm 2017’.
The Stand Comedy Club 2, until 27 Aug.
