The Hidden Garden (JC Movement Production / Jill Crovisier / Luxembourg Selection)

The Hidden Garden is a complex tapestry of contemporary dance, humorous mime, and physical theatre. Jill Crovisier’s debut solo work at the Fringe explores ideas of great significance – society, the environment, imagination, literature, and physicality – all while allowing the audience freedom to interpret the work as they wish. Although a quirky and imaginative piece, the show loses its rhythm on occasion. ‘The Hidden Garden’ is at its best when Jill Crovisier’s beautifully fluid and lyrical dancing is on display; yet unfortunately most of the show focuses on other elements of physical theatre. However, the surreal world that is created in this work is certainly still a fun and fantastical one to enjoy.
