Susie McCabe: Best Behaviour (Off The Kerb Productions)

An hour of pure brilliance, as Susie McCabe retells how she came to be wrestled into an ambulance by two lesbian paramedics. Her health scare last year was a shot across the bows and the comedian is on her best behaviour. Almost… There’s still bite. McCabe wears her politics on her sleeve, and lives her performing life on the comedic edge. The stories roll with her trademark sardonic humour, and she doesn’t need a rapid fire gag count to have the audience roaring with laughter. If you’ve ever fallen over in rain that hurts –  after a torrid year –  and think “is this it?”, this is the show for you. And if you simply want to leave with sides that ache, this is also for you.

Assembly George Square, until 24 Aug.
