I couldn’t help but be moved by this beautifully human play about life, love and the things too often left unsaid. Set in a palliative care ward, we witness the final days of two men, as experienced by the patients, their families and the souls who care for them. Script and performances combine to capture experiential truths, raw humanity served up not just as entertainment – though it is very entertaining! – but as a meditation on mortality, and on how we feel about death. Even as we laugh and cry with the characters, we remember those we have lost ourselves; as the characters come to terms with their losses the audience too is healed by the script’s warmth and wisdom.
