Michael Clarke: A Felt In Progress (PBJ Management)
By Emily Mildren | Published on Tuesday 22 August 2017
A fast-paced, one man, multimedia show, Michael Clarke’s performance is in equal amounts clever and absolutely nuts. Stripping down to felted undergarments is a recurring motif, as is the advertisement of a “felterskelter”, as he manages to reel in his audience (sometimes literally, you’ll see), inducing lots of laughter throughout this journey of a show. It doesn’t make much sense to describe, and in some ways it makes less sense to see, but really, I felt that was the point of it. Having seen this near the start of the run, I also have no doubt that he’ll have taken on the constructive criticism he asked for at the end – it can only have got better.
