Kathleen Hughes: Cryptid!

The show is a journey of trying to fit in. Kathleen Hughes is very likeable and has undeniably strong presenting skills: the power point style lecture was superb, and I was enthralled in parts. However, it is in the comedy section; so despite the fact that the show is well written with lots of interesting facts thrown in and lots of potential, and Kathleen’s strong stage presence compels our attention, the underlying humour there, ready to be mined, is under-exploited. There is a lot of promise here, but it is a work in progress, and I’m very much looking forward to seeing how the show develops in the future. Hughes is definitely an act to watch out for.
