COVERING THE EDINBURGH FESTIVAL SINCE 1996
Joe Tracini: Ten Things I Hate About Me (Joe Tracini and Norwich Theatre)
In a show that has been years in the making – and which prompted a book along the way – Joe Tracini takes us on a journey through his life as a child performer, TV actor and social media creator, and his experiences living with borderline personality disorder. Joe carefully eases us into some serious topics, and frank recollections of traumatic experiences, always quick to find the humour, even in the darkest moments. As he describes dealing with drug addiction and mental health challenges, it’s at times emotional, but also entertaining and enlightening. The blurb tells us this is a show about hope, and it definitely delivers on that promise, with a great conclusion that impressively ties everything together, in more ways than one.
Underbelly Bristo Square, until 24 Aug.
