If the audience wasn’t going to purchase Joanna Cherry’s upcoming political memoir prior to this talk – which would be a surprise given the cheers and support from the crowd – they certainly will be after the Easter eggs dropped. Insight into workings of the SNP under Nicola Sturgeon and the party culture and finances were disclosed by Cherry, alongside topics such as Alex Salmond, the Westminster Group and the vitriol and misogyny Cherry has faced from her own party. Whilst she alluded to much, it’s clear the evidence and full story is under lock and key until release day. Cherry has a feisty wit that flourishes under Dale’s “soft” interview format and allows her character to shine.
