Jim Campbell’s Personal Space (Ditto Productions)
By Daisy Malt | Published on Sunday 31 August 2014
Having cleared out his childhood bedroom, Jim Campbell – with the aid of some mementos and a projector – talks us through the various events that have shaped his life up to now. The resulting show is a humorous and nostalgic narrative of how everything has panned out according to the fuck-ups he’s made and descriptions of the friends (and of course enemies) he has picked up along the way. From meeting the best dog in the world, to owing friends money, buying the worst ever Mother’s Day gift and forming long-standing jokes with friends, with his ‘Personal Space’, this reflective comic highlights the misadventures we can all relate to in some way.
Underbelly Bristo Square, until 25 Aug.
