Baby Wants Candy Workshop (Baby Wants Candy)
By Samantha Strachan | Published on Wednesday 21 August 2013
Attending the ‘Baby Wants Candy Workshop’ proves how difficult improvised musicals actually are. You’ve got to be aware of everything: where your fellow cast-mates are, what they’re singing and what the musical director is doing. The students, a mixture of performers wanting to improve their skills and curious people, played games and took turns singing lines to build the story. It provided valuable insight into the tricks the ‘Baby Wants Candy’ cast utilise to pull off a successful new musical every night. It was a good laugh and whilst I don’t think I’ll ever make it on the improv musical stage it has certainly developed my respect for those that have.
