The Boadicea Of Britannia Street (Quidem Productions)

By | Published on Sunday 25 August 2013

‘The Boadicea Of Britannia Street’ is a story of triumph, taking control of one’s life and self-discovery. And it’s all done through the eyes of four ordinary women who form a creative writing group in the sleepy fictional town of Winkham. The trials and tribulations that these ladies face may not be of biblical proportions, indeed, they are commonplace, but it is the fact that their troubles are so ordinary which makes these characters extraordinary. As the play teaches; ordinary women can have the Boadicean courage and strength to change their lives for the better. Wonderfully touching and a little quaint, brilliantly performed and very well written, this play is something of a treat.

New Town Theatre, until 25 Aug, 5.35pm.
