Morgan And West – A Grand Adventure (Morgan And West with HMD Productions)
By Isobel Steer | Published on Wednesday 21 August 2013
A marvellous, magical spectacle that will awe and entertain both adults and children. After their trick book goes missing, 19th century magicians Morgan and West must follow a trail of clues to retrieve it from a dastardly and cunning adversary (one who is a bit closer to home than expected!). They perform plenty of magic along the way, often involving audience members as extra characters in the adventure. Although Morgan and West let the audience in on a couple of tricks of the conjuring trade, you’re still left with the suspicion that this duo may actually possess supernatural powers. The two actors are brilliantly funny, the dialogue snappy and self-aware, and the plot fast-paced and engaging. An utterly splendid show.
Gilded Balloon Teviot, until 16 Aug (not 14), 4.15pm.
