ED2013 4/5 Reviews ED2013 Theatre Reviews
Fox (Scratchworks Theatre Collective)

What will Mr. Fox do when the angry farmers chase his family out of their home? This is a terrifically fun family show, in which we follow cunning Mr. Fox in an underground journey, joined by Ratty and Badger. Six vivacious dancers physically narrate this show, which is wonderfully choreographed to exciting jazz music. The vibrancy of the actors is tangible as they portray six distinct, personable characters, and every development of the story is crystal clear. I was a bit concerned at the show’s reliance on traditional gender roles in the story, but I hope parents will address this. Overall, a delightful show for children and adults alike. I was smiling the whole way through, and children were on the edge of their seats.
theSpace @ Surgeons Hall, until 24 Aug, 1.10pm.
