BLAM! (Kristján Ingimarrsson / Neander)
By Amber-Page Moss | Published on Friday 16 August 2013
The coolest, cleverest thing you’re likely to see this year. Four men from Denmark prove that speaking is not required for a stunning show. All you need is stunts, sound effects, an amazing set and a score of office supplies. Think your job is hard work? A surreal story puts the marvellous into the most mundane situations, at times Pythonesque, at others reminiscent of Tarantino. Gloriously ripping off Rambo, Bruce Lee and The Matrix, the desk day-dreams of every man are revealed, resulting in a physically outstanding performance of explosive hilarity and outrageously epic action, with a touch of romance. Escalating from minute movements to awesome acrobatics, flawless innovation makes every moment more and more breathtaking.
Pleasance Courtyard, until 26 Aug (not 7, 13, 20), 5.55pm.
