Company Man (Cheeky*Park)
By Rory Morgan | Published on Thursday 8 August 2013
Warning! If you’re looking for a production you can understand or even vaguely follow this show is not for you. Debuting at the Fringe this year, the Japanese performance company Cheeky Park brings enthusiasm and smiles, but sadly this is not enough to keep the audience fully enthralled rather than just amusingly bewildered. Through dance and movement the cast demonstrate the various aspects of office life, ranging from office romance to a bizarre section about the various ways to clean up polystyrene cups. A few weak performers let the rest of the cast down during the acrobatic sequences and the eclectic use of different performance styles often felt a little messy and unnecessary. A show that won’t fail to confuse the whole family.
C, until 26 Aug, 4.45pm.
