Circles (Limb2Limb)
By Natalia Equihua | Published on Saturday 10 August 2013
As Alex hurriedly packs his life in boxes, he discovers one that carries the heavy weight of a past not yet forgotten. In a circular theatre that pays homage to the name of this play, siblings Alex and Kate share their memories as if they were our own. From their childish games, to a rebellious adolescence, we slowly uncover the obscure tragedy that surrounds this family. With the aid of few props, actors Leah Georges and Oliver Theobald successfully convey their deep understanding of their characters thanks to the intense chemistry between them. ‘Circles’ is a hypnotising performance that captures its audience through beautifully coordinated movements and a powerful script written by Georges. The emotion will remain even after the last
box is closed.
