Mozart At Teatime (ROSL Arts)
By Alice Harrold | Published on Thursday 22 August 2013
In another delightful instalment of the Music@100 Princes Street series, this afternoon’s concert was extremely well received by all. A carefully chosen collaboration of Hayden and Mozart’s works were performed by international stars Ashley Fipp (piano), Ben Baker (violin), Petr Limonov (piano) and the Cavaleri Quartet (strings). The Royal Over-Seas League’s Princes Suite is the perfect sized venue for chamber music, providing the right acoustics and atmosphere for such intimate performances. With a new concert each day and tea and shortbread served afterwards, this central location’s music series continues to provide one of the most enjoyable ways to hear superb classical compositions during the festival. The shows sell-out quickly so make sure to book in advance.
Royal Over-Seas League, until 23 Aug, 4.00pm.
