Steve Richards’ Rock ‘N’ Roll Politics 2 (Steve Richards Media Limited)
By Stephen Maughan | Published on Tuesday 13 August 2013
If you’re interested in politics and looking for a laugh, then look no further than ‘Steve Richards’ Rock ‘n’ Roll Politics 2’. In his second year at the Fringe, the acclaimed political journalist reflects on his lengthy experience. Richards is a fantastic storyteller, and while this show won’t produce many belly laughs, his enthusiastic delivery and dry wit will leave you chuckling from start to finish. His anecdotes were funny, but also offered a superb, rare and very personal insight into the absurd world of politics. The performance involves the audience in a way that is engaging, but also accessible to those who don’t live and breathe politics. In all, this show made for an enjoyable, intelligent and thoroughly recommendable experience.
Assembly George Square, until 26 Aug (not 12, 19), 12.40pm.
