Present And Correct (Dead Duck Productions / PBH’s Free Fringe)
By Mairi McNicol | Published on Monday 26 August 2013
God is our host for the evening, as the Present And Correct comedy group invite you into their wonderfully wacky world of sketch comedy. Their take on the snobbery of Oxbridge and the whole university system is clever and funny, whilst the numerous superhero sketches punctuate the material with brilliant moments of silliness. There was a solo sketch in the middle that got a bit too weird and lost the audience for a while, but it didn’t manage to detract from the overall entertainment of the show. Whilst it might lack the acuity and the sharpness of other sketch comedies at the Festival, the warmth and charm of the material and the performers makes up for it.
Citrus Club, until 23 Aug (not 19), 5.15pm.
