ED2013 5/5 Reviews ED2013 Comedy Reviews
No More Colours (Ditto Productions)

Jay Foreman is no stranger to the musical comedy circuit. His routine has a defined structure; funny song, then chit-chat with audience, then funny song, and so it goes for an hour. Without the guitar, he ceases to exist on stage, and it seems as if every joke he makes is just waiting to be put into song-form. However, it works for him, and he’s not just a boisterously humorous individual but also a very talented song-writer with a clear love for music. We were all seated on beanbags, which immediately made the gig more relaxing and increased our intimacy with the performer, who sang about pretty much anything and everything – from Christmas to Justin Bieber dolls to the London Underground – in his neighbourly, unassuming manner.
Pleasance Courtyard , until 26 Aug, 8.45pm.
