Nicholas Parsons’ Happy Hour (The Pleasance / Nicholas Parsons)
By Elspeth Rudd | Published on Tuesday 13 August 2013
Nicholas Parsons is the delightful host of this comedy chat show that features acts from across the Fringe. Parsons is wonderfully enthusiastic about each performer who sits beside him, making for a very pleasant, enjoyable hour. This evening’s show featured magician Pete Firman, who did two impressive magic tricks; singer Ali McGregor who performed two beautiful cover songs (one from each of her shows at the Fringe) and Tim FitzHigham, who told some incredible stories about the challenges he’s attempted. Parsons himself is charming, funny and congenial, which makes him the perfect host for this entertaining show. The show is relaxed and welcoming, providing a nice change of pace and an amusing break from the festival hustle and bustle.
Pleasance Courtyard, until 18 Aug (not 13), 5.10pm.
