Nathan Cassidy – Edinburgh Comedy Award Winner (Rat Pack Productions Ltd / Free Festival)
By Peter Dorman | Published on Wednesday 14 August 2013
We join Nathan Cassidy in his quest to join the long illustrious line of comedians who have won the Edinburgh Comedy Award. This flamboyant comedian gives an enthusiastic performance detailing the intricate plan he’s formed in his quest to become a household name (or at least the most famous Nathan Cassidy). Looking past the fact that his show is slightly uneven in places, once it gathers pace and crescendos towards the final segment, a room wide act of love, it is clear to see that the show has been a success. Along with the inclusion of a genuine £1 free bet on Cassidy winning the Edinburgh Comedy Award for every audience member, it is a generally good show, well worth the gamble.
Laughing Horse @ Finnegan’s Wake, until 24 Aug (not 4, 11, 18), 6.15pm.
