MI4 Espionage – Free (Joe Bains / Ola Aralepo / Diane Fitton / Obonjo)
By Stephanie Gray | Published on Tuesday 13 August 2013
A last minute line-up change seems to have left this already amateur comedy act struggling. Bad presentation and clichéd, common jokes make this a somewhat uncomfortable experience. That said, each of the four comedians does a decent job of chatting to the audience, though you should probably be worried if the biggest laughs come from things your audience has said! The act is constantly in danger of becoming more of a chat and banter down the pub than a real show, though this does at least create a friendly atmosphere. Yes, there was laughter, but overall largely for the wrong reasons. A properly planned script and more organisation would hugely improve this act.
Laughing Horse @ Espionage, until 25 Aug, 12.15pm.
