Lloyd Langford – Galoot (Mick Perrin Worldwide)
By Joseph Trotter | Published on Wednesday 14 August 2013
Confidence is a wonderful thing; in comedy, it can help to realise potential and promise. For Lloyd Langford, confidence is now flowing. Instead of the nervy, slightly stuttered performer of previous Fringes, Langford is now an assured beast, gripping his crowd with an hour of extremely well-paced comedy. Not out of place in a full-body banana suit, Langford is disarming and genial, which makes his sometimes outrageous jokes all the more unexpected, but no less funny for it. He uses his AV equipment well, but it supports rather than bolsters his act. A little spit here, polish there, and Langford will be a force to reckon with. One gets the feeling the best is yet to come.
Gilded Balloon Teviot, until 26 Aug, 9.15pm.
