How To Be Awesome At Everything (WMD Comedy)
By Stephen Maughan | Published on Monday 26 August 2013
Bland and unmemorable, ‘How To Be Awesome At Everything’ is nothing to get excited about. Using a mixture of stand-up and sketches, Ben Winterton, Ryan McCann and Tom Dransfield strive to help you deal with the problems in your life and work through awkward social situations. For the most part, the show was crass and incredibly cringeworthy. The sketches had crude, anti-climactic gags, with the performers frequently forgetting lines and laughing at their own jokes. The groan-inducing stand-up was even worse. All three comedians took to the stage with bizarre, uninspiring material that often fell flat and made the audience feel uncomfortable. In all, this is a disappointing hour of comedy, with the title being the most awesome thing about it.
Laughing Horse @ Edinburgh City Football Club, until 25 Aug, 5.30pm.
