Gary Lynch – Dark Charisma (Gary Lynch)
By Robert Stuart | Published on Saturday 31 August 2013
Perhaps the title of this show should prepare the audience for what is in store; Gary Lynch’s humour certainly is dark. His jokes are distasteful and sometimes cross the line; but if that’s your thing, as it seemed to be for some of the brave souls who turned up to Lynch’s latest Fringe attempt, then he will certainly leave you laughing. He has a tendency to take jokes a bit too far, and his persistent reference to a love of ecstasy fuelled bingo leaves an odd atmosphere in the room. His comedy is an acquired taste; though if you’re tired of the same old stand-up, you might want to give it a go.
Laughing Horse @ The Free Sisters, until 25 Aug (not 12), 9.00pm.
