ED2013 4/5 Reviews ED2013 Comedy Reviews
Death By Murder (University Of Nottingham Improv Society)
By Ankur Shah | Published on Saturday 31 August 2013
An improvised, murder-mystery comedy? It’s a concept that just screams potential. The audience are given the chance to choose both the murderer and his weapon of choice, and the resulting show is not only absurdly funny, it is also extremely engaging. The chemistry between the six performers served them well, and the only real problem here was that they were slightly let down by repetitive material, which sometimes wore thin when they lacked direction. Stupidly silly at times, and featuring moments of brilliance, this definitely made for an exciting and enjoyable evening. These guys could be amazing; they have the right idea and the right tools. Now all they need to do is put it into practice.
