Brett Goldstein Contains Scenes Of An Adult Nature (Mick Perrin Worldwide In Association With Dawn Sedgwick Management)
By Rory Morgan | Published on Friday 16 August 2013
When dealing with the delicate subject of pornography, it would be easy for a comedian to rely on crass and tasteless jokes; thankfully Brett Goldstein avoids this. Instead the audience is treated to a highly engaging and intelligent discussion, though Goldstein does occasionally veer dangerously close to making his routine more of a talk than a stand up. Those who have seen him before might be disappointed with some long standing repeated material, however the entire show is well created and Goldstein never loses the complete attention of his audience. The whole experience is completely gripping, and his skill for storytelling is a further reason to see this show. Goldstein’s sincere and inventive delivery make this a must see for Fringe goers this year.
Pleasance Courtyard, until 25 Aug (except 14), 9.30pm.
