Brendon Burns And Colt Cabana Sit In A Fifty-Seater Around Midnight And Provide The Commentary To Bad Wrestling Matches (Brendon Burns / Colt Cabana / The Stand Comedy Club)
By Peter Dorman | Published on Thursday 22 August 2013
In a converted lounge room, Australian comedian Brendon Burns and professional wrestler Colt Cabana provide their own commentary to some of the worlds worst wrestling matches. In an informal and organic show, the fantastically witty duo captivate their audience for the entire hour, with scenes featuring the likes of The Christmas Creature, Skull Captain, and Rasta the Voodoo Man. The pair have good chemistry and the vast assortment of clips keep the audience engaged, while the largely improvised commentary gets genuine laughs. The inclusion of special guest John Robertson in the ‘commentary box’ adds further witty dimension. Certainly, a must see for all wrestling fans.
The Stand Comedy Club II, until 25 Aug (not 5, 12, 13, 19), 11.50pm.
