BattleActs! Improvised Comedy (BattleActs!)
By Frances Greenfield | Published on Sunday 25 August 2013
In a competitive take on the comedy classic, ‘BattleActs’ improv take on a group of challengers every night in an effort to be crowned victorious and proved the improvisational comedy champions. They more than rose to the occasion, providing intelligent, quick paced and at times surreal material including a conversation based on nostrils and a series of spontaneous one liners that most comedians couldn’t have written given a week. Rival team ‘Mischief Theatre’ gave them a run for their money with their comedy songs and a particularly excellent dinosaur impression, but the resident team held the advantage, winning the night to wild applause. The show’s blend of audience participation and the Compare’s good-natured humour is perfect post-pub fare.
