All-Nude College-Girl Revue or How I Made it Through the LSE (Lisa Faith Phillips)
By Robert Stuart | Published on Saturday 24 August 2013
I was sceptical before watching this show, having just read the title, but Lisa Faith Phillip’s performance was in reality fantastic viewing. Watching this engaging raconteur was absorbing as she took the audience through her life, from strip clubs to sex lines, via university. With its well- structured narrative and confident delivery, Faith Phillip’s story certainly is an interesting one. The appropriate bar venue helped to effectively transport us right back to the seedy underworld of America and New York in particular, adding more realism to the show. Whilst there was not an especially overwhelming conclusion at the close of the hour, this was a fresh performance that left us with a different impression of a darker place less known to most.
