Adam Kay – How To Be A Bogus Doctor (Bound & Gagged Comedy / Mandy Ward Artist Management)
By Ian Freeman | Published on Tuesday 20 August 2013
Adam Kay has a beguiling charm with which I fear he could easily dupe me into believing he was still a practising doctor. That is, if I hadn’t already seen him perform this hilariously original comedy. He makes for an intriguing character as a doctor who is teaching us, his students, how to rip off (and strip off) patients without being jailed and/or executed. With an engaging wit, the truth behind certain ailments are revealed, and one lucky audience member is treated to an unforgettable clinical assessment. The time flew by as the self-proclaimed swindler revealed to the sell out crowd how to make massive amounts of money by being being massively fraudulent. Adam Kay may no longer be a bona fide doctor but he is certainly a bona fide comedian.
Pleasance Courtyard, until 26 Aug (not 14 Aug), 5.00pm.
