A Complete And Comprehensive History Of The Roman Empire In Less Than An Hour – With Jokes (Ed O’Meara)
By Rory Morgan | Published on Thursday 15 August 2013
Never has a piece of comedy been less successful at living up to its title. The entire routine is muddled and disjointed rather than comprehensive, and the jokes so poor they might as well be absent. This is not O’Meara’s first time at the Fringe, which makes the utter lack of laughter in his routine almost unforgivable. He would be well advised to get rid of his obscure and outdated popular culture references and iron out the deep creases in the routine. A promising and interesting concept; it’s a shame that such words cannot be applied to the actual show. Overall, a thoroughly disappointing experience.
Bannermans, until 24 Aug, 1.45pm.
