Snoopy The Musical (American High School Theatre Festival)
By Joseph Trotter | Published on Saturday 31 August 2013
The correct choice of production can make or break a musical, especially one featuring a cast of American High Schoolers (and one child). ‘Snoopy: The Musical’ is the right choice, and the Van Buren High School Theatre group make an excellent fist of it, offering up a fine production, fit for any age. The cast are excellent; Coralee Young can belt them out with the best at this age, while the very young John-Michael Fisher as Woodstock may just be the most adorable actor at the Fringe. ‘Snoopy’ is well produced, and although slightly lengthy at 90 minutes, it manages to hold the audience’s attention admirably. A very positive turn by this talented troupe.
Church Hill Theatre, 20 Aug, 9.15pm.
