James Campbell Comedy For Kids (James Campbell)
By Christie Rolley | Published on Wednesday 21 August 2013
In a gently teasing and ultimately hilarious hour, James Campbell proves that ‘Comedy for Kids’ is about much more than just toilet humour. Though such quips were present (Nintendo Wii jokes being a particular favourite), Campbell succeeds in engaging the children in subject matter that was easy to relate to, but not infantile. From a discussion about wrinkly old people, to debating the various dangers of radioactive lollipop ladies, the subjects had a number of children and parents hysterical with laughter. The fact that he adapted his material, after suggestions from the audience, proved that he’s well used to engaging with small children. A charming introduction to Fringe comedy for any child, James Campbell is a hit not to be missed.
