ED2013 4/5 Reviews ED2013 Children's Shows Reviews
Zigzag Zit-faced Zombies And The Giant Geriatric Generator (Stuart Reid – Award-Winning Author)
By Jessica Cropper | Published on Wednesday 7 August 2013
Asking children to throw foam teeth at him, pulling out dog poos from his box and discussing bogies; all-in-all it was 50 minutes of pure silliness, but children’s author, Stuart Reid, knows exactly how to entertain children. Indeed, most seemed to enjoy shouting out daft answers to his many ridiculous questions and laughing at his jokes. His likeable persona, fun props (including a set of false teeth and a whoopee cushion) and a colourful PowerPoint presentation resulted in a fun show that served to educate as well as entertain; Reid relayed the joys of reading and of the importance of being eco-friendly. So, if you have a child who needs amusing, don’t look any further than this show.
Laughing Horse @ The Free Sisters, until 25 Aug, 1.15pm.
