Wild About Wilde (Thrice Three Muses / Free Festival)

By | Published on Wednesday 14 August 2013

Advertised as being ‘for kids and childlike adults’, ‘Wild for Wilde’ is bursting with enthusiasm from start to finish. The cast, directed by Jasmine Smart, introduce children to Oscar Wilde, with a little help from their audience – with only two actors, and many more parts to fill, they need a hand with some of the lines! The actors obviously love what they do, and are great with the kids, coaxing shy children out of their shells and making everyone feel included. If you’re looking for an educational show, this might not be for you as there’s not very much about Wilde himself, but if your aim is happy children, look no further.

Laughing Horse @ The Free Sisters, until 25 Aug, 12.45pm.
