ED2013 4/5 Reviews ED2013 Children's Shows Reviews
Peter Pan (Flying High Theatre Company)
By Rebecca Lunn | Published on Saturday 17 August 2013
Do you believe in fairies? One of the beautiful things about children’s shows is the audience’s willingness to participate. The actors interact with the children directly, and this has them struggling to contain themselves from excitedly shouting out the answers. Every child is also given a voting card on their way in, which is used to decide the ending. The script stays true to the original, except for the idea that the Lost Boys are reminiscing about the story and “acting it out”, which seems an unnecessary time filler. Nevertheless, it’s a charmingly dedicated masterpiece for the young at heart as well as the little people. Visit the show past the “second star to the right and straight on til morning”.
