Lynn Ruth Miller – Granny’s Gone Wild (Latest TV Presents Lynn Ruth Miller USA)
By Jasmine Faller | Published on Thursday 8 August 2013
There is something about seeing an old lady remove her outer garments while singing about life that is both uncomfortable and hilarious. ‘Granny’s Gone Wild’ is an insightful musical memoir of a glamorous 80 year old lady who has seen it all. Moving, comical, and at times downright strange, this entertaining piece is executed by Lynn Ruth Miller enthusiasm and style. Though the transition from one subject to the next can be a little jumpy, each of her songs and anecdotes is life affirming in the extreme, and she’s had a lot of life to affirm! With all the audience participation and sing-a-longs, you might come out a little confused, but you’ll definitely be smiling.
C nova, until 26 Aug (not 5, 6), 6.00pm.
