Flanders And Swann (TFH/The Pleasance/Jeremy Meadow)
By Alice Harrold | Published on Sunday 25 August 2013
Back for their eighth run at the Fringe festival, Tim FitzHigham and Duncan Walsh-Atkins pay homage once again to the comedy music of the 1950s pairing Michael Flanders and Donald Swann. This at times touching tribute is super; the humour is dead on, and the musical talent on display is impeccable. This duo’s light-hearted jokes and catchy performance style will have you singing along in no time to some of Flanders And Swann’s best loved hits like ‘Mud, Mud, Glorious Mud’, ‘The Gasman Cometh’ and ‘Madeira M’dear’. Whether you’re looking to revisit a forgotten age of comedy in dinner jackets or discovering Flanders and Swann for the first time, you’ll love this show.
Pleasance Courtyard, until 26 Aug, 2.30pm.
