Best Of Burlesque (Chaz Royal / Edinburgh Burlesque Festival)
By Rebecca Lunn | Published on Wednesday 21 August 2013
Hilariously camp Duke DeMilo begins the show with a surprisingly strong musical performance, warming the crowd up for the first striptease. The girls perform one by one, some glittering, some elegant and some in PVC! The only male of the act is, perhaps inappropriately, from the ‘I Hate Children Children’s Show’. But, despite this controversial choice for the evening’s entertainment, he has the crowd howling with some dirty jokes and a few magic tricks. The act who stands out from the scantily-clad crowd has to be headliner – Miss Burlesque Australia 2013, ‘Strawberry Siren’, who seductively strips from her stunning costume to reveal her flower-decorated body. With a different show every night, it will always be fresh, lively and sexy.
Assembly George Square, until 25 Aug, 11.59pm.
