You Obviously Know What I’m Talking About (How It Ended Productions / Escalator East To Edinburgh)
By Roz Tuplin | Published on Sunday 12 August 2012
Winfield Scott-Boring never leaves home. A vast collection of phobias and an obsessive compulsive disorder conspire to keep him forever locked in his flat, both jailor and prisoner. Then, one day, his meticulous routine starts to come under attack from the outside world and a magical fridge. With musical elements and pleasing visual jokes, this kooky and sometimes surreal story shows that the disasters you fear can change your life for the better. It’s funny, a bit mad and very uplifting, although it sometimes verges on twee in a way that seems to turn the audience off a little. However, it is undeniably brimming with energy and performed with great enthusiasm.
Underbelly Cowage, 2-16 Aug (not 14), 1.30pm.
