Wind In The Willows (TwoSquared Productions)
By India Doyle | Published on Friday 31 August 2012
The tale of Mole, Toad, Badger and Ratty is familiar to everyone, and thankfully Two Squared Productions have created a near perfect adaptation of the story. In this sweet and charming production, the acting throughout was strong. The four leads especially, played by Robin Hellier, Connor Jones, Hamish Colville, and Martin MacLennan were incredibly funny and captured the personalities of their characters excellently. The set was well designed and the costumes, although relatively simple, were enough to give a great sense of the animals. There were a few moments when it was difficult to hear what the narrator was saying but that was really the play’s only ‘fault’.
Witty and warm, this production will leave even the most cynical audience members feeling disconcertingly positive and cheerful.
Paradise in Augustine’s, 14-19 Aug, 6.50pm.
