We Got Rhythm (NADSAT Productions)

By | Published on Friday 31 August 2012

Do artists ever really “get” politics? Do politicians appreciate art? Durham-based student-led theatre company NADSAT Productions explore these avenues in their short snappy show, ‘We Got Rhythm’. From the title you might expect some tap dancing but you’ve come to the wrong place; instead what you’ll get a script that is both witty and perceptive delivered by a strong cast. The play within a play adds a nice twist to the plot and a subsequent dimension to the already well developed characters, while the actors show an awareness of physicality by incorporating movement which proves their point about the drama of politics (and the politics of drama).
