ED2012 3/5 Reviews ED2012 Theatre Reviews
Unlucky For Some (Richard Burton Company)
By Charlotte Ryan | Published on Friday 31 August 2012
Louise Haggerty is the writer and star of this short one-woman piece about a frustrated bingo caller in a local bingo hall. Allowing her to show off her talents in playing numerous different roles, this was an enjoyable piece of free Fringe theatre. Although some of the characters and storylines felt surplus to requirements, Haggerty did a good job of holding her audience’s attention, with direct addresses and even occasional chat-up lines. A warm and likeable performer, Haggerty compensates for the obvious weaknesses in the script to deliver a fun and watchable piece.
