Three Words (Byteback Theatre)

By | Published on Friday 31 August 2012

Physical pieces can be hard to pull off, but these young actors executed the movement scenes in this show beautifully. At times the plot was, in fact, rather creepy but this effect was diminished as humour started to take over. The piece starts with – perhaps unsurprisingly – three words; it looks at what lies beneath a normal man with a normal routine and makes us question if we really know the people around us. This was a very well produced play, and well timed, though the plot was a bit confusing and didn’t always make total sense. But the audience was soon drawn back in with collaborative movement pieces telling more than just a story, making us question everyone in our lives.

The Bongo Club, 6-8 Aug, 2.30pm.
