The Submarine Show (Jaron And Slater – California)

By | Published on Thursday 9 August 2012

This is a great way to introduce kids to the concept of the fourth wall. A delightful blend of mime and great physical comedy, ‘The Submarine Show’ is the story of two men crashing their submarine and embarking on a magical adventure. Although a couple of the mime sequences were a little unclear, the performances were clever, funny and fluid, and the endearing adventurers’ interactions with the invisible paints a vivid picture for imaginations young and old, particularly when they encounter strange creatures on their journey. Children are mesmerised but there are plenty of sophisticated jokes for adults; a warm family treat with a cheeky wit at its heart.
