Punk Rock (No Prophet Theatre Company)

‘Punk Rock’ traces the path of a group of students through their last few months at school, their A level exams, and the all too complicated road to adulthood, in a show described in the programme blurb as a “powerful exploration of the end of childhood”; be assured this piece delivers what it promises, showcasing gripping turns from the entire ensemble in an invigorating performance that was as alarming as it was honest. Offering a grim reminder of the often brutal experiences of growing up, these scenes seem all too familiar in their realistic portrayal of the difficulties of adolescence. A brilliant performance exposing the skills of some great up and coming talent.
